Bible Institute F.A.Q.

How much does it cost?

The cost to attend Bible Institute is $75 for an individual or $120 for a married couple per quarter.

How long is Bible Institute?

Bible Institute is a 2 year program. Each year is divided into quarters. Each student will take 3 classes per quarter for a total of 12 classes a year – 24 classes total.

When does Bible Institute meet?

Classes meet from 6 – 9p each Sunday.

Do I have to register at the beginning of the year?

No. You can register for Bible Institute at any time. For example, If you have never attended B.I. and would like to start at the beginning of 3rd quarter, you can start at the beginning of 3rd quarter and take 3rd and 4th quarter classes, and then take 1st and 2nd quarter the following year.

What is the class format?

The classes are all lecture classes. You will be asked to take notes during the lectures. Questions will be allowed at the end of the lecture. There are also reading assignments and an end of the quarter exam or project.

Is there a dress code?

Yes. You can dress casual, but please keep it conservative. This means shorts and skirts must be knee length. All undergarments must be covered at all times.

Does completion of Bible Institute ordain me to minister?

No. Cornerstone’s Bible Institute is not an accredited school. It is only an informational set of classes to help you personally grow closer to God and attain more of an understanding of Him and His Word. Bible Institute does not Ordain any person as a Minister.

Is attendance required?

Attendance is mandatory for completion of Bible Institute. If for some reason you have to miss a class, you are responsible for getting the CD and listening to what you missed. Attendance of the Saturation Meeting on the first Sunday of every month is also required.

Are books required?

Yes, some instructors have required books for their classes. The cost of these books are included in the tuition.

Do I have to be a member of/attend Cornerstone to come to B.I.?

Not at all. Bible Institute is open to anyone who wants a deeper knowledge of God and the Bible.

I have children, is child care provided/can my children come with me?

Children are not allowed in the classroom. Child care is provided free of charge for Bible Institute students for children under 12. The children are supervised by our trained Children’s workers. All of the children workers have gone through the Guardian Class.

Is there an age requirement?

Everyone who is 16 or older can enroll in Bible Institute. Children under the age of 16 who would like to enroll have to have the permission of Pastor Mark or our Bible Institute Director, LaJoyce Batts.
