We take the Children’s ministry very seriously in that we have the opportunity to teach and instill the principles of the Word of God in them from the time they enter our nurseries until they graduate the 6th grade. We strive to teach our children by creating an environment that is fun and exciting and by presenting the Word of God at their level of understanding.
We strive to have a first class Children’s ministry at Cornerstone. The love of God forms the basis for all we do in the children’s department. Our Children’s ministry consists of the Nursery, Preschool, and Elementary School Departments.
Our Nursery is available for 6 weeks through age 3. The first three years of a child’s life are developmentally the most important, and set a foundation for life. In our Nursery, God’s Love and God’s Word are imparted to the children so that they are raised from infancy to know Him and to make Him Known. The Nursery is provided during all regularly scheduled services.
KinderChurch ministers to children from 4 – 6 years of age. The room is brightly decorated with favorite Bible stories, and is divided into teaching centers. The teachings focus the children’s learning abilities with hands-on learning experiences. Through this highly effective teaching method, KinderChurch children become skilled in God’s Word and have fun at the same time. Services are held on Sunday at 9AM and 11AM and Wednesday at 7PM.
TORCH encompasses children from 1st – 6th grade. They are taught the uncompromised Word of God on their own level, in a way they can understand. The anointed teaching, fun-filled games and activities are all designed to bring the gospel of Jesus Christ alive to the children. Services are held on Sunday at 9:00 and 11AM. and Wednesday at 7PM.
Ministering to those of this younger generation is one of the main thrusts and focuses of this ministry. Because we take very seriously the personal, social and spiritual well-being of our children, we ask that those seeking to work in these areas only apply after attending Cornerstone for six months. A portion of the approval process and requirement to work in these areas, is that you must attend a Guardian Class which provides training to execute safety and security procedures for our young people. It also provides a background check on anyone working in these areas.
