Find God’s Perfect Plan for You
In order to find the destiny or plan God has for your life, you must let go of the past and take hold of the future. You also must realize that God has a prearranged plan for you. He designed your life and it is a good one. Our job is to discover that plan. It starts by having faith in what God has said about this prearranged plan. You and I must really believe there is a specific plan. Ephesians 2:10 says, in the Amplified, that God has prearranged for us goods works and we should walk in them. The Word also says in Psalms 37:23 that the steps of the righteous man are ordered of the Lord. In other words, there is a course God has made and we should find it and walk in it. When did God do all this planning for our lives? Galatians 1:15 says we were separated from our mother’s womb. It seems to me that before we did anything right or wrong, before we ever made a mistake God decided a good course for us to follow. He has always had a plan for our lives!
Sometimes we get a plan into our mind that we think will work best for our lives; but if Jesus is truly our Lord, then we will endeavor to only follow His plan for our lives. The Word says this in Proverbs 19:21 (ESV), “Many are the plans in a man’s mind, but it is the Lord’s purpose for him that will stand.” You and I will only be successful when we find and follow God’s perfect will for our lives. When you and I figure out that only the will of God for our lives will succeed, we will find that will and follow that will all our lives. I love this scripture to describe how invincible the will of God is. Acts 5:38-39 says, “…If this counsel or this work be of men, it will come to nought, but if it be of God, you cannot overthrow it, lest haply you be found even to fight against God.” The plan of God will prevail and it will stand. It is up to us if we want to stand with the plan or against the plan of God for our lives. Also, if anyone stands against the plan of God for our lives, it will not prevail. That my friend is good news!
Sometimes we mess up in our journey and we have to repent and get back on the path that the Lord has for us. There have been some colossal mess-ups in the Bible yet God’s plan prevailed. Abraham and Sarah, they really messed up. They decided to takes things into their own hands because they got tired of waiting on God. They thought it was taking too long so Sarah decided to get a son through another woman and created Ishmael. But God had His way and the original plan was still done. Isaac came through Abraham and Sarah even though it seemed impossible. Peter really messed up as well. Even after he was warned by Jesus that he would deny Him three times, Peter in pride said everyone else may deny you, but I won’t. After all of Peter’s tears and sorrow, Jesus restored him and Peter went on to do his assignment and preach on the day of Pentecost. What am I saying? Even if we mess up royally, we can still do the plan of God for our lives. God doesn’t pick perfect people, but He does have a perfect plan for our lives.
